Western Australia Police Force is currently looking for PC-12 Pilots. Currently, 2 positions are vacant.

These positions are offered as 12 month contract/secondment opportunities with the possibility of extension.

This shift work position includes day, afternoon, evenings, weekends and public holiday shifts.

This role also attracts allowances to the value of $19,146 p.a (in addition to the base rate of $80,322 p.a). The total remuneration for this role is $99,468 p.a.

Applicants may be required to base themselves at either Karratha or Jandakot during the course of their employment. Additional allowances are applicable when based at Karratha.

This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of all fixed wing aircraft operated at the Police Air Wing (PAW) by piloting aircraft in accordance with all relevant procedures, regulations and legislation. Actively and openly participates in the PAW Safety Management System (SMS), promoting and fostering an open and just safety culture.

Required skills

  • PC-12 Type Rating: YES.
  • Languages: English
  • CASA ATP or CPL;
  • CASA Class 1 flight crew medical certificate;
  • The unrestricted right to live and work in Australia;
  • 2000 hours flying experience Pilot in Command;
  • 500 command hours flying experience on type;
  • Holds a current valid Instrument Rating issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia, with a minimum of three (3) successful Instrument Proficiency checks as Pilot in Command of fixed-wing aircraft.
  • 150 hours IFR;
  • Night VFR Rating with at least 200 hours as Pilot in Command of fixed-wing aircraft at night;
  • Civil Aviation Safety Regulations, Civil Aviation Regulations, AIP and Civil Aviation Orders and ability to understand and implement CAO 48.1
