The Northern Territory Police Force is currently looking for pilots to competently fly Police aircraft as a single pilot under the IFR and carry out associated duties for the NT Police Airwing
based in Alice Springs.
Required skills
- CASA CPL;
- CASA Class 1 flight crew medical certificate;
- Current ME/IR Land;
- At least 3 IPC’s;
- The unrestricted right to live and work in Australia;
- 2000 hours flying experience Pilot in Command;
- 1000 hours flying experience on Multi-Engine Command;
- OR Single Engine Turbine Aircraft;
- 100 hours of total night flying experience;
- Demonstrated sound knowledge of aviation regulations, aircraft technical and operational information;
- Demonstrated high level of flying skills, Instrument Flight Rules procedures and airmanship;
- Recent relevant experience in Regular Public Transport, Charter or equivalent operations in complex or turbine aircraft;
- A dedication to safety, high levels of personal integrity and excellent communication skills, with demonstrated ability to fit into a small team and work with limited supervision;
- Ability and willingness to be “on call” and perform duties outside of normal rostered hours if required;
- An ability to interact effectively with people of diverse cultures and a demonstrated understanding of the principles of Equity and Diversity and Occupational Health and Safety.
Desired skills
- Previous or current Pilatus PC-12 flight review with 200 hours on type;
- Airline Transport Pilot’s Licence;
- Experience in tropical or remote flying environments particularly the NT;
- Computer literacy in aviation specific and general applications.
