Jet2.com is delighted to confirm new opportunities to join their hugely successful Pilot Apprentice scheme. This programme is all about getting to know their business, their ethos and their customers, before embarking on a career in the cockpit. This is an outstanding opportunity to develop a long-term career in an Airline with an award-winning Leisure Travel Business.

You will gain experience across several business areas, learning new skills and building relationships with colleagues. Over the course of the scheme, you will spend time working in one of their bases as well as flying as Cabin Crew. On successful completion of the scheme, you will undertake a fully bonded Type Rating and join their fleet as a Second Officer with many exciting career development opportunities to follow.

The Jet2.com Pilot Apprentice Scheme has continued to provide fantastic career opportunities for Pilots entering the world of commercial aviation – several of their first Pilot Apprentices have already been promoted to Captain. Throughout your time as a Jet2.com Pilot Apprentice you will receive support and assistance through their dedicated Apprentice Mentoring system geared towards preparing and developing your skills in order to take the next steps for your Type Rating and beyond.

Required skills

  • Languages: English
  • UK Issued Frozen ATPL Pilots Licence;
  • Current Class One Medical;
  • Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (MEIR);
  • A valid UK driving licence;
  • Completed APS MCC Course or alternatively an MCC and JOC course;
  • Strong ATPL Theory exam results;
  • Have maintained your flying ‘currency’ through training and/or regular flying (allowing for disruption due to the pandemic);
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience of office IT systems;
  • Flexible as they may require you to work from any of our 10 UK Bases.
