Sydney Seaplanes is an iconic, experienced seaplane business based on Sydney Harbour, Australia. An attractive opportunity exists to join their close team as a seaplane pilot for the upcoming summer season and potentially beyond. This is a rewarding position that offers a great career path flying seaplanes both within Australia and internationally.  

They fly a fleet consisting of one DHC-2 Beaver and three Cessna 208 Amphibious Caravans on scenic and charter operations in the Greater Sydney Area. Operating out of Sydney Harbour as well as onto rivers and lakes up and down the coast. 

Required skills

  • Languages: English
  • CASA ATP or CPL;
  • CASA Class 1 flight crew medical certificate;
  • 1000 hours total time;
  • 500 hours on floatplanes;
  • 500 water landings;
  • The unrestricted right to live and work in Australia;
  • Current Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate;
  • Current ASIC;
  • Be willing and able to conduct a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

Desired skills

  • 200 hours C208 seaplane;
  • Experience in the hospitality and/or tourism industry.
