Required skills

  • Languages: English
  • An Australian ATPL (Aeroplane/Helicopter), or Australian CPL with all ATPL subjects;
  • 500 hours in Command of a powered fixed wing aeroplane (excluding ICUS); or
  • 300 hours in Command of a multi engine aeroplane (excluding ICUS); or
  • 250 hours in Command of a powered fixed wing aeroplane and 1000 hours as Co-Pilot of a multi crew, multi engine turbine aeroplane (excluding ICUS); or
  • 250 hours of flight time in a powered fixed wing aeroplane as pilot in command, or pilot in command under supervision (of which 70 hours must be as pilot in command), and 1500 hours as Co-Pilot of a multi crew turbine aeroplane; or
  • 250 Hours in Command of a powered fixed wing aeroplane and 500 hours in Command of rotary wing aircraft (excluding ICUS);
  • A Part 61 Multi Engine Aeroplane Class Instrument Rating (excluding a private instrument rating);
  • Endorsements for IAP 2D and IAP 3D on Australian (civil) instrument rating
  • A current instrument proficiency check (MEA);
  • Australian citizenship or hold Australian permanent residency status;
  • A current passport with unrestricted access to all Qantas ports of call with at least 12 months validity;
  • A current CASA Class 1 Medical Certificate (or be eligible to hold one);
  • English Level 6 proficiency.

Desired skills

  • 2000 hours Total Time;
  • 500 hours Multi-Engine;
  • Multi-Crew Experience;
  • Have airline Jet experience (or military equivalent).
