Ascent Flight Training is an established, yet growing aerospace and training company which operates across the UK, delivering flying training services to the UK Government.
As a Multi Engine Pilot Training Qualified Flying Instructor (MEPT QFI), you will deliver instruction across the full range of the syllabus, including live and synthetic sorties in the Phenom T Mk 1. You will join 45 Squadron, part of No 3 Flying Training School, and work alongside serving military QFI’s training the next generation of frontline multi engine pilots. Ab initio students are introduced to multi crew operations, procedural flying including overseas landaways, low level navigation and formation flying. So, on a typical day, you might plan and fly an airways navigation sortie with an ab initio student pilot and deliver a Formation Mass Brief to a course of more advanced students.
Required skills
- You will have experience delivering flying instruction in multi engine aircraft, in both live aircraft and simulators;
- As an experienced multi engine pilot you will bring a wealth of experience to share with the student pilots within No 3 FTS;
- Your focus will be on the delivery of high quality instruction, including the full range of supervisory and safety aspects;
- You will have proven flying and instructional skills and experience, and be committed to the delivery of safe and effective training in the air and on the ground;
- You will be an effective team member, integrated within a military flying training Squadron, playing an active role in the wider aspects of training delivery including: flying supervision; student mentoring and support; courseware maintenance and development; working with the wider Ascent Team in Operations, Scheduling and Business Support roles.
