G1 & G2 MEIFR Instructors – Full-Time Positions

Sydney Flight College is part of Schofields Flying Club P/L, they also operate as Sydney Flight Charter and Sydney Flying Club. In continuous operation for over fifty years they one of Australia’s largest aviation colleges and Sydney’s largest flying club. They operate a fleet of over 30 aircraft and conduct training from RPL through to CPL with ME CIR.

With a constant intake of full-time students, they are seeking new instructors.  As a line instructor at SFC you will report to your team leader and the Head of Operations. This is an opportunity to work within an exciting growing business with great career progression.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting flight training within the scope of the Part 61 MOS and SFC’s syllabus
  • Conducting ground theory training and briefings within the scope of the Part 61 MOS and SFC’s syllabus
  • Maintaining electronic training files and all admin tasks associated with flight instruction

Job Description:

  • Based at our Bankstown base in Sydney
  • Excellent remuneration negotiable commensurate to experience and qualifications
  • Airline, charter and leadership experience highly regarded
  • Open to internal and external applicants
  • All FPC’s paid for by company and IPC’s for instructors employed utilising their IRTA
  • Responsible for supervision and mentoring of junior instructors (Grade I)
  • All other projects and tasks as directed by your manager

Required skills

  • Aircraft model: Other - Fixed Wing Piston Multi Engine
  • Type required: No
  • Languages: English

  • Australian CPL(A) or ATPL(A);
  • Current IR MEA 2D & 3D (all aids);
  • A current instructor rating with a grade 1or 2 training endorsement;
  • The following instructor rating qualifications: MEAI, IR, NVFR;
  • A tenacious work ethic and high professional standard;
  • A collaborative approach and can-do attitude;
  • The unrestricted right to live and work in Australia.

Desired skills

  • A Degree or Diploma Qualification in an aviation discipline.  Preferably a Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot)
  • The following instructor rating qualifications: FIR (Instructor rating training approval)
  • Current DG certificate
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • SPIN (Spinning training approval)
