Turtle Airways Pte Ltd operates 2 Cessna C-206 and DeHaviland Beaver on straight floats from Newtown Beach, Wailoaloa Nadi, Fiji serving Turtle Island Resort in the Yasawas. Turtle Airways Pte Ltd is seeking a Chief Pilot for its operation.

The Chief pilot ensures that the daily flight operations are conducted safely and in line with the Civil aviation regulations. Is responsible for the Accountable Manager and is the direct link to the CAAF. Some of his responsibilities are the check and training of line pilots, keeping records and manuals updated and amend as required.

Required skills

• DHC-2 Beaver Type Rating: YES.
• Languages: English

• Holds a valid ICAO CPL and type rating on Cessna 206 and DeHaviland Beaver on Floats;
• Has achieved a minimum total time of 2500 hours;
• Valid class one medical;
• ICAO Level 4 proficiency in English language or higher;
• Minimum of 1000 hours as Pilot in Command;
• 1500 hours on floats;
• 500 hours on DHC-2 Beaver floats;
• 500 hours on Cessna 206 floats;
• Open ocean experience;
• Managerial experience;
• No previous incident or accident record.

Please note the appointment of this position is subject to a ‘Fit and Proper’ approval by the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji (CAAF), which will include a demonstrated understanding of applicable aviation regulations and the regulations of Fiji in particular.
