Qantas is currently accepting applications for the role of Type Rated Instructor - Simulator Instructor for their B737 fleet in Melbourne.
 
The Type Rated Instructor will provide training duties as outlined in the Qantas Training and Checking Manual. You will be responsible for conducting training courses and training and checking duties in their B737 flight simulators. In addition to this, you will attend company meetings and carry out other duties as directed by the Manager Training and Checking.

Required skills

  • Languages: English
  • CASA CPL;
  • Hold an Instrument Rating (Multi-engine Aeroplane, IAP2D and IAP3D endorsements);
  • Attained a high standard of proficiency;
  • A minimum of 1000 hours multi-engine (fixed wing) command time;
  • Experience in Regular Public Transport, multi-crew, narrow or wide-body jet aircraft operations;
  • Previous instructor experience in multi-crew aeroplane type ratings;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • A proven ability to work as part of a team;
  • A high level of motivation;
  • A demonstrated knowledge of Civil Aviation Legislation applicable to jet transport operations and flight crew training and licencing;
  • An in-depth understanding of Human Factors and non-technical skills.
