Line Pilot/Flight Instructor SkyWest Aviation New Zealand

SkyWest Aviation is based at the New Plymouth airport in Taranaki, New Zealand. Taranaki was named by Lonely Planet as one of the world's best regions to visit in 2017. You could do better and live/work in this great region.

The Company operates Cessna 421C, Piper Navajo and a Cessna 172 aircraft types and is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and rated pilot to this key role. Experience and type ratings on Turbine aircraft would be an advantage.

The position is based in New Plymouth and offers a very attractive remuneration package.

  • Contribute to ensure flight operations business targets and objectives are met.
  • Ensure all regulatory and safety requirements are complied with.
  • Maintain high performance of flight operations. 

Minimum requirements:
  • Ability to hold a NZCAA Senior Person position with demonstrated ATO experience in a similar role.
  • Hold a current CPL, current multi-engine IR and valid class 1 medical with a minimum 1000 hours total time.
  • Hold a current Instructor rating.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in aviation CRM and safety systems.
  • Team player with a natural ability to form strong relationships.
  • Effective communicator for liaison with Clients and Stakeholders.
  • Must either be an New Zealand citizen or have the legal right to work and live in New Zealand
