C650 Rated and Non Type Rated Captains Flight Options Australia

Flight Options is a full-service aviation organisation providing charter services, aircraft management and flight training. The company has bases on the Sunshine Coast, QLD and in Sydney, NSW. As part of an aircraft management agreement, Flight Options is sourcing a Captain on the Cessna Citation C650. The successful pilot would be responsible for managing the flight schedule for the aircraft owners in addition to the usual flight crew duties.

The main duties of the role will include:
  • Acting as pilot-in-command for any flights assigned;
  • Ensuring aircraft operations are carried out in accordance with the company manuals and all relevant legislation, making safety a priority;
  • General flight duties including cleaning and provisioning the aircraft, flight plans, calculating weight and balance, fuel and performance, pre-flight inspections, use of checklists, handling baggage, assisting with passenger ground transport and other requests;
  • Coordinating the functions of the crew members on each flight;
  • Ensuring passenger safety and comfort on all flight, providing excellent customer service; and
  • Liaising between the aircraft owners and operator as to the aircraft schedule and availability.

Minimum requirements:
  • Must either be an Australian citizen or have the legal right to work and live in Australia
  • Hold an air transport pilot licence (ATPL), preferred with a C650 type rating;
  • Hold an instrument rating with multi-engine aeroplane endorsement;
  • Hold a valid Class 1 medical certificate;
  • Have at least 1,500 hours total flight time;
  • Have at least 1,000 hours as pilot-in-command of multi-engine aeroplanes;
  • Preferred to have at least 50 hours of flight time as pilot-in-command on type.
  • Have strong piloting skills, being technically proficient and knowledgeable in operating the aircraft;
  • Have knowledge of the appropriate e regulations and related administrative and operational procedures;
  • Have strong computer skills; and
  • Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and public holidays if required.

Note that if a C650 type rating or experience is not held, training will be provided for the right candidate.
