Pilots Golden Bay Air New Zealand

Fixed term contract position between December 2017 and May 2018, minimum 25 hours per week.

Golden Bay Air is a busy VFR/IFR Part 135 operation based in Takaka, New Zealand. They run scheduled services between Takaka, Wellington, Nelson and Karamea, plus charter and scenic flights from Nelson and Takaka Aerodrome. They also offer ground transport options to complement their air services.

It is shaping up to be a busy summer. They have another opening for a pilot. This is your opportunity to enhance your VFR Air Transport experience. The work entails:
Flying single pilot VFR on scheduled, scenic and charter operations
Driving passengers
Ground operations, including reception, customer service and aircraft and vehicle cleaning and management

Minimum requirements:
  • Current New Zealand CPL and Class 1 Medical
  • A minimum of 500 hours total time
  • Right to live and work in New Zealand

Preferred requirements:
  • Air Transport or similar flight experience
  • Customer service or sales experience
  • Passenger (‘P’) endorsement on your New Zealand drivers licence (or be prepared to obtain one within 1 month of your start date)

This role is more than just flying so they are particularly interested in hearing from people who can bring a variety of life and work experience to the role. Qualified applicants who demonstrate capability may also have the opportunity to progress to an IFR role.
