Airborne Survey Pilots CGG Aviation Australia

CGG Aviation internationally renowned interpretation geoscientists integrate multi-physics data with geologic, seismic and well data to add insight into the resource evaluation process.

CGG is seeking applicants for the role of Airborne Survey Pilot.

The Airborne Survey Pilot is required to fly the company aircraft on low-level survey operations (Typically 300ft above ground level) along a specifically prescribed GPS defined flight path with minimum deviation, in accordance with project, safety and procedural requirements. They will take an active role in risk analysis, hazard reporting, and promoting the safe and economical functioning of all projects.

Minimum Requirements:
  • (Australian Commercial) Pilots License (CPL) or (ATPL)
  • Low level survey training/endorsement
  • Flight Examiner rating/Instructor rating – (Grade 2 Preferable) /Designated Flight
  • examiner (DFE) rating, if Pilot training is to be provided
  • Appropriate Aircraft type Rating
  • Pilots must have a minimum flying experience as per the table below;
  • A minimum of 100 hours experience in geographic areas similar to the proposed work area (e.g. Arctic, offshore, mountain, desert, jungle or international operations)
  • Minimum 2 years geophysical survey experience
  • Minimum 5 years aviation experience

  • 400 hours command of multi-engine
  • Turbine engine time preferred
  • Previous international survey experienceDeployments may be within Australia or to international projects for up to 6 weeks
