Flight Instructors SAFA Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

SAFA, Saudi Aviation Flight Academy based in Thumamah Airfield, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is currently looking for Flight Instructors.

The Flight Instructors will deliver safe, professional and quality training to customers using scenario based curricula provided by SAFA. This instruction will be delivered using single and multi-engine Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA) and training devices. The Flight Instructor will report directly to the SAFA Chief Flight Instructor.

The package for this position includes an attractive tax free salary (commensurate with experience), paid housing + utilities, transportation allowance, medical coverage for employee and family, annual economy class round-trip air tickets, schooling allowance for children, 25 working days paid holiday, end of service benefit, and relocation allowance (if hired outside of Saudi Arabia).

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Minimum requirements:

  • A current and valid FAA Certified Flight Instructor certificate with Instrument privileges (SEL), or current and valid Certified Flight Instructor certificate with Instrument Privileges (SEL) issued by an ICAO member state
  • 400 hours Total Time, with 200 hours Dual Given as a licensed Flight Instructor preferred.
  • Holds a current and valid medical certificate required to perform the duties of the highest pilot certificate held
  • Valid Passport
  • Proven ability to use relevant experiences and instructional skills in a highly challenging, highly structured learning environment
  • Knowledge and ability to perform, instruct, and assess flight crew duties including teamwork, leadership, communications, and decision making
  • Ability to interact positively with an international cadet cohort
  • Proven ability to be flexible and to think "outside of the box"
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Must possess outstanding ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing

Desirable requirement:

  • Multi-Engine Instructor Rating
  • Garmin G1000 experience
  • Check Instructor or Training Centre Evaluator experience
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, scenario-based training philosophies and techniques (i.e. FAA FITS)
  • Turbine experience
  • BA/BS in a relevant area
  • Computer fluency to include at a minimum: Windows, Microsoft Office Suite and Internet Explorer and Adobe InDesign CS
