Full Time Hourly Flight Instructors National Aviation Academy US

National Aviation Academy has vacancies for Full Time Hourly Flight Instructors in the Clearwater area.

The objective of the vacancy is to provide flight training to National Aviation Academy customers in the safest manner while adhering to all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and National Aviation Academy Operations Manuals.

Essential Functions: 
  • Assist in Curriculum development 
  • Provide professional ground and flight instruction to National Aviation Academy customers that meet Academy standards. 
  • Conduct maintenance test flights as well as demonstration flights, as required 
  • Maintain accurate Academy training records and report to their assigned supervisor 
  • Maintain the highest level of safety at all times 
  • Manage student workload appropriately and maintain superior customer service 
  • Ensure student training records are complete, accurate and up to date 
  • Conduct instruction using only National Aviation Academy and FAA approved training material. 
  • Discuss all training plans with customers prior to performing services. 
  • Periodically act as Supervisor of Flight to ensure aircraft are tied down and to provide flight following service when Dispatch staff complete their duty time 
  • Periodically teach ground school lessons

  • Utilizes all required and recommended National Aviation Academy computer applications Strong Microsoft Office skills 

Required Education / Experience / Certifications:
  • Hold a current FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot. 
  • Certificate Hold a current FAA Flight Instructor Certificate, with Single and Multi-Engine, and Instrument Ratings 
  • Hold a current FAA Class 2 Medical Certificate or higher
