Jetstream 31 Rated and Non Type Rated Captains National Flying Laboratory Centre UK

The National Flying Laboratory Centre is a unique facility based at Cranfield University providing both a 'flying laboratory' for over 1,100 undergraduate and 200 postgraduate engineering students each year and a bespoke research and development service to the aerospace industry. Currently, the Centre operates four aircraft, two Jetstream 31s and two light aircraft. Currently seeking to recruit a Captain who will also function as a post holder within the University’s Air Operator Certificate.

Minimum requirements:
  • Valid JAR ATPL(A) or Part FCL ATPL(A) 
  • Current medical certificate with no significant limitations. 
  • Minimum of 2,000 flying hours 
  • 500 hours must be as pilot in command. 
  • Recent experience as a Captain of a multi-pilot turbine type with a UK AOC holder (or suitable equivalent) is required. 
  • Training experience within an AOC

Preferred requirements:
  • Current / recent FI rating or TRI rating / TRE certificate
  • Experience as a Military / Part 21J test pilot. 
  • Current or previous Jetstream 31/32 type rating
