DC8 Rated and Non Type Rated Pilots NASA-Dryden Flight Research Center US

i3 is currently looking for pilots to join NASA’s DC-8 Airborne Science Lab operations assigned to Dryden Flight Research Center (DFRC). The primary work location for the DFRC DC-8 aircraft is the Dryden Aircraft Operations Facility (DAOF) located in Palmdale, California. Deployed operations, both CONUS and OCONUS, are routine for these pilot positions.

Minimum requirements:

  • Must posses an FAA commercial pilot license with instrument, multi-engine land ratings or a pilot and instrument rating from the armed services.
  • Minimum of 1,500 hours of pilot in command (PIC) flight time.
  • Must meet the security requirements and pass a NASA Flight Medical Certification.
  • Must possess a Bachelors degree preferably in field of engineering, physical science, life science or mathematics.
