Part Time Chief Flying Instructor / Chief Pilot Manning River Aero Club Australia

The Manning River Aero Club has provided over 50 years of flying training at Taree on the mid north coast of NSW. The club, a not for profit organisation is a member of the Royal Federation of Aero Clubs of Australia is and is run by a voluntary board of directors. Their well-equipped air conditioned club house including the CFI/CP office and hangar have a prime spot overlooking the main 1500m runway.

The Manning River Aero Club currently operates a 2004 model Cessna 172 SP that is well equipped with a moving map GPS and altitude preselect and hold autopilot. Their Air Operators Certificate allows us to provide Flying training (Single engine aeroplane GFPT-CPL & NVFR), Joy flights, Charter and aerial photography.

They require a suitably experienced instructor/pilot for an immediate start who would (or could ASAP) meet the CASA requirements to attain CFI/CP status. Instrument training approval would be an advantage.

Historically, recent workload (about 300 flying hrs pa) warrants only 2 days’ work a week, nominally Friday & Saturday. The right candidate could improve the hours and should justify extra day/s work in the future.

This position requires motivation and initiative of the applicant being the sole operational employee and to that end requires a flexible and willing attitude to be able to effectively fulfil all the duties required of working in a country aero club.
