Simulator Flight Instructors Atlas Air US

Atlas Air is currently looking for Flight Instructors in Miami, F The Flight Instructor Positions is a salary position. The Flight Instructor workweek will consist of five days of work and two scheduled days off. Atlas Simulator operation is 24 hours each day including weekends and holidays. No agreement of Pilot seniority or transition is offered.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide ground school instruction in a classroom setting in accordance with the Atlas FOTM
  • Assist in the preparation of courseware development
  • Assist students enrolled in eLearning
  • Provide fixed base and full motion flight simulation instruction in accordance with Atlas FOTM and FAA requirements for; Pilot Initial Type Certification, Recurrent Pilot Proficiency, Training Recurrent Pilot Proficiency Checking and Landing Currency Training as well as any other Simulator training instituted or required by Atlas Air.
  • Provide Instruction and evaluate student performance on Atlas FHB, FOM and approved techniques.
  • Conduct Pre and Post flight Briefings in accordance with Atlas FOTM, FHB, FOM and FAA requirements.
  • Safe and conscientious operation of all Atlas Simulation Equipment and facilities.
  • Evaluation and recommendation of student requirements for additional training, student progress and student failure.
  • Maintain and evaluate Student Records for all Simulator Training.
  • Completion of Simulator Maintenance Log and notification of simulator status to Maintenance and Scheduling.
  • Provide ongoing support and input to Atlas Lesson Plans and course development.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and motivation among students and personnel.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge and understanding in Atlas Procedures and Policies.

Minimum requirements:
  • Prior Airline experience preferred.
  • ATP Pilot Certificate or equivalent required.
  • Excellent teaching skills required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
  • Excellent organizational skills expected.
  • Excellent computer operation knowledge and skills expected.
  • Computer literacy in MS Windows 2000 and Office 2000 (Work, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) preferred.
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently.
  • Must be resourceful.
  • High energy individual with multi-tasking skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Must read and speak English clearly.
